There are two steps to joining Racer Band.
 
Step 1     (this puts you in our data base)
 
Step 2  Register for MUS 152 when you register for classes
 
 for answers to the standard questions most student ask.

Top 10 Reasons you should be in Racer Band
 
1.   The most exciting and fun band experience in the country!
 
2.   Making 200 friends before school starts is great way to start the year.
 
3.    Move in the dorms before everyone else.
 
4.   NO SUNBURN @ Camp.  We learn drill @ night.
 
5.  NO MUDDY SHOES! We practice on astroturf every rehearsal- NEW Turf in 2007
      
6.   $150 stipend
 
7.   One Credit Hour (an easy “A’)
 
8.   It’s not like High School Band
 
9.   No fundraising
 
10.   We practice 4 times a week
             (you will have time for band in college)
        We take many days off throughout the season
             (4 practices in October and 2 practices in November)
        Small schedule conflicts are not a problem
               (if you have a course conflict-you may miss up to 1 hour per week because of class scheduling)
