Mellophone

Welcome to all returning and potential members!

We are really excited about the upcoming season, this year we will be AMAZING… duh.  Not only will this year include football games and Festival of Champions…but we will also be doing a High School Tour.  Feel free to contact either Amy or Cameron with any questions and/or concerns. Looking forward to meeting and re-greeting everyone! Have an amazing rest of the summer!!!

Racer band members are furnished marching mellophones. Our goal is to find a spot for everyone on his or her instrument of choice, but there are limited numbers of spots in each section based on equipment and talent level.  If we run short of instruments you maybe asked to play something else. We own 21 mellophones.  The mellophone section HAS the most challenging brass music.  Members must have previous mellophone experience.  We use F Yamaha mellophones.  We provide French horn mouthpiece adapters but not French horn mouthpieces.

Hey guys my name is Amy Brandon and I will be a co-section leader for this year’s Racer Band!!!  I am originally from Princeton KY, and a 2008 graduate from Caldwell County high school. I am currently a junior music education major with a special education minor.  I look forward to seeing all of the vets and meeting all of the new members.
