ASK the leaders how you can help--there are a lot of moving parts this weekend
    We need everyone to help with logistics--particularly at 4:30

If you are in another MSU ensemble, please follow your other ensemble directors instructions. You can play with RB in your concert dress for the other ensemble.

Parents Family Weekend (#parentmegapost)

Family Weekend 2018 (Racer Band)
FOC Rain Out
    We were very disappointed with mother nature last weekend and were really devastated about not getting to perform.  We also lost a bunch of money (the judges were here, we made trophies, and programs , etc.). 
How could you help? 
Buy our extra Racer Band shirts to help us make a few extra $$.  


T-shirts for sale
     Shirts will be on sale at the Tailgate party for $15.00 (first come first serve). 
    We have a bunch of shirts. 
    Racer band shirts make an awesome present for Christmas :) . 


RB Tailgate 
    If you missed preregistration—no worry
    We will accept payment at the gate.
    Your 10 dollars pays for your entire family.
    If you prepared online —We will have your name at our registration table. 
    Just tell the table worker you are on the list and they will cross you off. 
    
    Bring a lawn chair/Blanket etc. 


    The tailgate party starts right after the concert. 
    The concert starts at 2pm in Lovett, our Tailgate Party starts @ 3:15. 
    The Tailgate party happens on the south end of stadium area. 
    You will see a Racer Band Tent and signs.


    We need  Parent help starting at 1:30pm

Fall Fanfare Concert
    Starts at 2pm in Lovett Auditorium

    If you have pre-purchased your ticket already for the Fall Fanfare concert and I want to let you know that those tickets will be available for pick up at Will Call on Saturday afternoon.  We will be selling tickets at the door also.


Football Game Tickets
    Pre-Registration/discounted ticket sales has closed.   You are still welcome to attend Family Weekend.  There are many events that are free or you can pay for at the door of the event.  Please see the Family Weekend schedule below for details. You can purchase football tickets by calling the ticket office at 270.809.3000. or buy at the gate

Family weekend
    Pre-registration ends this week (20th)

    The $25 registration fee provides access to the complimentary lunch(before concert) and breakfast, access to the Wellness Center, a canvas bag of resources, and 6 general admission football tickets.


On the last page  of registration you will see an option for the Fall Fanfare Concert 
        2:00 – 3:00 pm     Fall Fanfare Concert
        Location: Lovett Auditorium
        $10 per adult
        $5 per child (12 and under)
Payment options: 
        Pay online or at the door the day of event
        The Racer Band plays at the end—a hype
            FYI-The Color Guard does not preform at the concert due to space
            FYI-Many pit members also not perform at this event

Racer Band Tailgate
On the last page you will see an option for the Racer Band Tailgate.
    It takes place at the Southgate area of the stadium in near the scoreboard,
    The Racer Band tailgate is only for Racer Band families and friends.
    The fee is $10 for the entire family/friends attending family weekend (what a deal…!)
    The tailgate starts at 3:30pm-We stop serving around 4:30
    You may pay at the event (cash) or online when you register 

We need about 12 Parent helpers to help grill/wrap/serve starting @ 1:30 at the tailgate
        Look for details to be posted early this week—we will have an online sign up

General Instructions
There are DVD on some of the buses--please nothing too much language etc.
No hacking when we are there--we will tell you when to start warming up
Clean your shoes etc.
Be in full Uniform or no Uniform--Put your  uniform away when we get home
Be on time and stay with the group
You represent MSU--act accordingly
        Watch language--be polite--etc.
        Be supportive and polite to all high school band performances and awards


Breaking any local, state, or federal law can result in removal from the class (regardless of grade implications).


No consumption or transportation of alcohol on the bus. This will result in removal from the class (regardless of grade implications).


Public Intoxication of any kind, when with the group, will result in removal from the class (regardless of grade implications)
