Family Weekend--FYI--The BIG Picture

9/16/2019

Racer Day:  We will have a table at the Racer Day for recruiting. This will be manned by our student leadership. Noon-1pm

Fall Fanfare Concert:    Our annual scholarship fundraising concert.    The Racer Band leadership will place signs advertising the concert throughout campus at 8am.  The Racer Band dress rehearsal for the concert is at 12:15. The concerts starts at 2pm and tickets are available at the door. We will move equipment to the fine arts Friday PM after practice. We will park the truck in the loading zone next to Lovett. The equipment truck returns to
the stadium after the concert.  (No pit or guard for this event --yes we need Jonathan, Jack, Christian to play sythm and guitars )

Racer Band Family Picnic:   This event usually has 400-500 in attendance. We have traditionally camped out outside the south end of stadium complex.  I usually block off areas Friday night(20th). I have signs and materials to do this. We start setting up at 8am (21st). The picnic will manned by band parents and the Racer Band leadership. Food preparation starts at 1:30pm. We start serving at 3:30.

Racer Band Warm-up:  4:50-5:05 —in the same area as the Picnic

Pre-game parades/rallies:  We plan on leaving the southend of the Stadium at 5:05 and perform at the Alumni Center and along the backside of the stadium like we dd the first game. Jeff Gentry from public safety helps us with traffic and safety.

    Pregame Show:    5:40ish

Halftime:     We have had time to get a full halftime ready for this game. We have added an additional 3 minutes to our 1st show.  I anticipate the show to 10:00 minutes…. about 11-on and off
Here is a video from the last game https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vujJkSjlbLo&feature=youtu.be —we won’t do a drum a cadence off the field

Post Game:    We will start to prepare parking lots after the game for Festival of Champions (28th). We move some sawhorse towards the middle of the main parking lot.
