Eat a Big Breakfast and LUNCH Prior to Arrival

BRING EXTRA WATER and SNACKS for the bus—SAVE some for the ride home
Wear your 2017 RB Shirt until after both performances 


12:00 Uniform Room opens for problems
12:15 Got a truck--can you help us move tubas and battery from Building??

12:20 Battery and Tubas move to the loading area (NORTH LOT)
12:40 Take roll/get organized/pass out $10
1pm Depart
2:30 Arrive in HOPtwon
​        Stadium of Champions
       Unload buses

    Change into Uniform --Yes to sunglasses
    Bathroom
     Pit to equipment Truck
3:00  Leave for Warm up area

3:15   Warm-up
3:45    MOVE
4:00  Perform  in uniform--yes sunglasses

4:15    stage pit for PM performance
           Change
​Eat 4:45-5:45   $5 meal deal 
          Hang out at Contest
          RB shirt ticket to contest
​7:00m Change
7:15  Leave for Warm up area

7:30   Warm-up
8:00    MOVE
8:15  Perform  in uniform--NO sunglasses
9:30 depart Or sooner
11:00 arrive home
        Take your uniform/shako/shoes/etc home
        Unload trucks/buses
        Clean buses
        Battery sousaphones--return equipment to storage
         Pit unload truck

Bus Loading   
       1st to be loaded  --battery and sousaphones
           Bus # 1  3 sousaphones        3 snares/carriers
           Bus # 2  4 sousaphones        2 snares/carriers 
            Bus # 3  4 sousaphones       2 snares/carriers  
            Bus # 4  4 sousaphones       2snares/carriers 
        2nd to be loaded (Your stuff goes on your bus)
                 Uniforms --Brass--Saxes--Flag Bags--under the bus  (includes Sousaphones)
                 Hat boxes--Clarinets--Flutes------ Go on bus

  1. Have all members “follow procedures” and know what is going on 
  2. Have two great performances--BRING THE HEAT!
  3. Meet everyone on your bus
  4. HAVE FUN!


Warm-up 
      Don’t play until instructed to--no hacking
      We will start in sub-section warm-ups (15 Minutes)
                    Warm-up 
                    Tune
                    Don’t Over Play in warm-up
                    Review Rough Spots and ALL BODY MOVEMENT
        We will then get together and:
                   Review coming on the field
                   Hash Marks
                   Switching Sides
                   Coming off the field
     Buses
        Please help clean buses--be sure to cooperate with bus driver instructions                                                                             

 General Instructions

There are DVD on some of the buses--please nothing too much language etc.
No hacking when we are there--we will tell you when to start warming up
Clean your shoes etc.
Be in full Uniform or no Uniform--Put your  uniform away when we get home
Be on time and stay with the group
You represent MSU--act accordingly
        Watch language--be polite--etc.
        Be supportive and polite to all high school band performances and awards

Breaking any local, state, or federal law can result in removal from the class (regardless of grade implications).

No consumption or transportation of alcohol on the bus. This will result in removal from the class (regardless of grade implications).

Public Intoxication of any kind, when with the group, will result in removal from the class (regardless of grade implications)
