Meet the 2019 Mellophone Section Leaders!

Gideon Miller

Hello everyone!  My name is Gideon Miller.  I will be one of the two section leaders in the Mellophone section for the 2019 season.  This will be my 3rd season with the Racer Band and my second year on the leadership team.  Last year I was a BARC for the Commuters of Racer Band, which was a great deal of fun. I am a Bachelor of Science Music Major with a Minor in History.  I study French Horn for my major and have been playing Mello for almost 10 years now. Kyle Heideman

Hey everybody! My name is Kyle Heideman. I will be one of your two section leaders for the 2019 Racer Band season. This is my 3rd year with the Racer Band and my 9th year in marching band. I am from Louisville Kentucky and graduated from Eastern High School in 2017. I am currently an Economics and Political Science major and a proud member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. I am a member of the Speech and Debate Union and am the 2019 Pi Kappa Delta debate national champion. Music has always been a major part of my life and Racer Band is always a lot of fun. I look forward to being your section leader and making music, friendship, and fond memories with all of you!
