The Racer Band Spring Percussion & Guard Day provides an educational opportunity for students to see what college marching band is all about! High school juniors and seniors with percussion or color guard experiences will have the opportunity to play and perform alongside college level performers, and incoming Racer Band members will have the opportunity to see what to expect when they enter the 2025 Racer Band Season!

Students interested in auditioning for the 2025 Racer Band Drumline, Front Ensemble, or Color Guard are not required to attend, however staff will be going over audition materials and expectations during this camp day.

Murray State Campus, Fine Arts Building
9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Lunch break from 12:00 - 1:00 PM - participants will be expected to provide their own lunch

Participation is open to:

• High school juniors and seniors, graduating in 2026 or 2027
• Incoming Murray State freshman interested in joining the 2025 Racer Band
• Returning Racer Band Percussion & Color Guard members

REGISTRATION
All participants MUST register using the link below - the event is free, however students are expected to bring or plan to cover the cost of their own lunch.
Students under the age of 18 must provide parent/guardian contact information. All participants must provide the name and number of an emergency contact.

Front Ensemble - Keyboards will be provided; participants should plan to bring their own mallets
Drumline - Drums will be provided; participants should plan to bring their own sticks & a practice pad
Color Guard - Students should plan to bring their own flags (6ft flag/pole). Students interested in the rifle line should plan to bring their own equipment
