Color Guard Audition Information
Thank you for your interest in the Racer Band Color Guard! We will be holding auditions starting August 10th when you arrive for camp. While we do not require color guard experience for you to be on the line, we do require performing/marching experience. During this process we not only want to see you spin, but also how you communicate and learn from leaders and staff. We work a lot in a short amount of time, so it is vital that you are willing to give in the time and effort required to help things run quickly and efficiently.
All members who sign up for the color guard will have a spot on the flag line, and will have a spot on the field for our pregame show. Students will then earn their spots on the field for each halftime song selection based on their ability to accurately and cleanly learn/perform choreography and drill. Note that we are not looking for perfection, but a willingness to work with each other, our staff and leadership, and to learn new skills!

Flag Line AUDITIONS
While we do not have a specific routine for you to prepare we do wish to see what skills you know and how you move. Even if you do not feel you are comfortable with all of these skills, we encourage you to come out anyway! This gives us a starting point and helps us to know what to teach you. This also allows us to have a unified performance, as we all come from a variety of spinning backgrounds.
